OnCare Team – OnCare Cancer Center Team

 

OnCare Cancer Centers for the care and treatment of cancer allows us to bring together a team of professionals who will work to treat your cancer. Each member of our team plays a special role in your care. Some of the team members work directly with you, while some members do not deal directly with you but are still vital to your treatment. Your health and comfort are very important to us. We have a well-trained staff available to meet your needs and to help you with any problems, questions, or concerns that you might have about your illness and care.

 

Medical Oncologist
This is the cancer specialist you’ll probably see most often. Usually your oncologist will oversee your general care and coordinate treatments with other specialists. Your oncologist will also be in charge of chemotherapy, hormone therapy, and immunotherapy. You’ll likely visit your medical oncologist for long-term, regular checkups.

 

Nurses
Our nursing staff is composed of a team of highly specialized professionals such as a certified oncology nurse, chemo certified nurses and registered nurses dedicated to patient advocacy and compassionate care. We care for each cancer patient during every step of the treatment process – from consultation, to chemotherapy and/or radiation, to post-treatment counseling as well as follow-up.

Pharmacy Staff
Our pharmacy staff are highly qualify and specially trained to support cancer patients and the services provided include mixing of chemotherapy products, providing take home prescriptions, comprehensive patient education and continuity of care. <

Laboratory Technologist
We offer clinical laboratory services on-site in both clinics and staffed by certified laboratory technologists who have many years of laboratory work experience. This makes it easy and convenient for patients to have lab work done before or after a visit to their oncologist or the infusion suite for chemotherapy.

Patient Liaison Officers
At the reception area, there are two Patient Liaison Officers who receive, process and communicate information to assist healthcare professionals in providing care. This may take many forms e.g. handling telephone call, scheduling appointment, booking tests, requesting recorders or information, taking personal and biographic information for registration, filing patient records, settling payments and handling insurance coverage, and assisting with general enquires, and etc. They will also perform other duties as assigned.

Clinical Assistance
Our clinical assistance is expected to communicate with patients, nurses and doctors efficiently. She performs numerous of duties for both centers such as picking up and delivering blood samples, lab and imaging reports, patient charts and records. She also serve as valuable assistant to nurses and help transport ill patient by wheelchair, remove rubbish, clean trolleys and errands, as well as keep clinics in orderly condition.
